Chances for a future in the home country

In the last years, their have been many refugees, most of them juveniles, coming from Iraq and other crisis regions of Africa and Asia. Due to this, the number of refugees in our shelters has grown. For meny of these people there are only a few possibilities to be integrated in our state and society system. That´s why is is very important to work on it from the beginning on, that they can return to their home countries.

The first step ist to establish an goal-oriented support and attention system to clear individual problems, discover skills and interests of the group members. Based on these, we can estimate the individual needs. This estimation happens with the help of a so-called „profile passport“-file, which contains all outraging and positive skills of the members.

The next task is to establish a program with the establishments who can help people entering the labour market. The aim is to deepen knowlede and skills or develop new knowledge and skills, which could be helpful for returning to the home country and get acclimatized in a new, environment, which has change since they have escaped. Very important is to learn languages and have IT-skills, which are important for getting along at a new entry in the labour market.

Both goals rely on intensive contact with the home countries. Nevertheless, the program focusses on the region North-Iraq, because our organisation has good contacts there and the people there are open for new ideas. It is deciding to work with the people here and at the same time, to establish an „integration structure“, which welcomes and attends returnees to get integrated in their home country.
