The big Balcan-concert
The crowd was thrilled!
The enthusiasm knew no boundaries when the four ex-Yugoslavs of the band „Trovaci“ started playing their songs like „Gastarbeiter“ and „Malo Morgan“ which, when Combined with impulsive Balkanian-Ska-Reggea-Punk music, make Trovaci an outstanding liveband. The band stands for self-ironic and pleasantly sly lyrics in Serbian, Croatian and German which offer a „balkanised“ look at everyday's life in Germany as well as on guest-worker stereotypes. Their songs are also about love.

Having followed this idea for the last four years, people from different origins have taken the four trovacis into their hearts.
Thanks to "Hilfe von Mensch zu Mensch" that organized the event, the excellent band "Trovaci" had their first big concert in Munich. Although the number of visitors was below expectations, it was an unforgettable experience on a nice winter evening in the Muffathalle. The highlight of their concert was Vlada Divljan's performance. Being one of the most famous and influential rock musician coming from former Jugoslavia, Vlada delivered an extraordinary and highbrowed performance and received thunderous applause.

Charming and young host Mara Kojadinovic introduced the two soloists Nina Vlaovic and Milica Jovanovic who showed their mastery in music in the interlude. Nina, a passionate musical performer who has among other plays played in the Gerath-Preins staging "Kiss Me, Kate", inspired the crowd togehter with the several-times award winning Milica, who has,for example, played in "Zauberflöte". Both artists who graduated from the Theaterakademie August Everding were able to enthus the crowd with songs from different musicals such as " A step to far" from "Aida" for example.

Just as the city council of Munich Dr. Reinhard Bauer noted in his brief adress of welcome the Balkan Days were a successful representation of all people coming from the Balkanian countries who live in Munich.
